'RuPaul's Drag Race' Pulls Into Hell's Kitchen for Premiere Party

By Stephanie Keith | October 25, 2012 8:41am

HELL'S KITCHEN — All hail the queens.

Stars of the hit reality series "RuPaul's Drag Race" took to the stage Wednesday in front of standing-room-only crowd for a night of lip-synching and dance routines to celebrate the show's season premiere.

Contestants including Pandora Boxx, Mimi Imfirst, Manila Luzon and Latrice Royal strutted their stuff as host and drag royal Lady Bunny hosted the festivites.

This time around, the series — now in its fifth season on the Logo network — features an all-star cast of past participants vying for the title of "Queen of All Queens."

On the show, RuPaul, who did not attend the party, coaches the contestants through everything from photo shoots to lip-synching routines during the elimination competition.

"It's a mess, this whole show is a mess," Alexia Mateo joked at the event Wednesday. "You can't have so many girls and so many different personalities without lots of drama."

The show premiered on Oct. 22 and runs every Monday on Logo.
