Police Seek Man Who Snatched Necklace From Elderly Woman in The Bronx

LONGWOOD — Police are looking for a man who snatched a necklace from an elderly woman in The Bronx.

The suspect approached the 76-year-old victim in front of 982 Southern Boulevard about 1:30 p.m. Sept. 29 and offered to have her necklace cleaned, police said.

The suspect then took the necklace off the woman's neck and fled, police said.

Police described the suspect as a man in his 30s, wearing a red shirt, red jacket and jeans.
