MIDTOWN — A worker was injured after falling from an East 33rd Street construction site Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

The victim fell about 20 feet at 45 E. 33rd St., near Madison and Park avenues, just before 1 p.m., the FDNY said.

"He looked bad," said Lazarus, a fellow worker who asked that his last name not be used. "He looked like he was done for a minute."

The worker suffered head trauma but was awake and breathing when paramedics arrived, an FDNY spokesman said. The victim was rushed to Bellevue Hospital Center, he added.

His condition was not immediately known.

"He's a good kid," Lazarus, 30, added.

No one else was injured.

Officials were investigating the cause of the accident.
