Brooklyn Point Cafe Vies for Liquor License

By Meredith Hoffman | October 1, 2012 4:30pm

GREENPOINT — Brooklyn Point Cafe — which replaced decades-old diner Happy End on Greenpoint Avenue this summer — hopes to draw more customers soon with beer and wine, the new eatery's owner said.

'This would complete the picture,"owner Marcin Cyran said of a liquor license, and admitted that longtime Polish residents had seemed frustration with the loss of their local mainstay Happy End.

Cyran's cafe still serves Polish dishes, he noted, along with other cuisines and a variety of coffee beverages.

"We're just getting started," Cyran said.
