THE BRONX — Police have arrested a man for allegedly committing a string of robberies in The Bronx and Manhattan and threatening his victims with a hypodermic needle.
The suspect, 39-year-old Angel Anthony Cintron, was apprehended in Yonkers on Monday, cops said. He has been charged with robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.
Last week, police released a sketch of Cintron, who allegedly committed the robberies over the past six weeks.
In each of nine separate attacks, Cintron, who lives in The Bronx, allegedly threatened his victims with a hypodermic needle and then stole their iPads, cellphones or iPods.
In several cases, the victims were in their teens, with two as young as 14 years old.
