Courtney Love Strikes Classic Pose at Metropolitan Opera Season Opener

LINCOLN SQUARE — Courtney loves the opera.

The always-entertaining Courtney Love, dressed in a restrained lacey black dress, joined Rangers star Henrik Lundqvist, Jennifer Esposito, Ari Graynor, Katie Lee, Rob Thomas and at the opening night of the Metropolitan Opera Monday at Lincoln Center.

The opera, "L'Elisir d'Amore," or "The Elixir of Love," tells the story of a village girl being pursued and wooed by a country bumpkin. Composed by Gaetano Donizetti, it is considered a comedic gem.

Others who took the opportunity to dress for the occasion included Maggie Grace, models Crystal Renn and Erin O'Connor, and designers Zac Posen and Diane von Furstenberg.
