Maggie Gyllenhaal, Viola Davis Shine at 'Won't Back Down' Premiere

MIDTOWN — Maggie Gyllenhaal and Viola Davis didn't back down from the spotlight at the premiere of their new film Sunday night. 

The two actresses took to the red carpet at the Ziegfeld Theatre for the premiere of "Won't Back Down," in which they play two mothers trying to reform their inner-city school, taking on a powerful bureaucracy along the way.

The women were joined by fellow castmates Rosie Perez and Lance Reddick, as well as Matthew Settle, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Maggie Grace, Zoe Lister Jones, Tony Danza and more.

The film opens on September 28, 2012.
