NEW YORK — A woman was punched in the face and had her purse stolen during a daylight attack on the Lower East Side, cops said.
The suspect, who is described as in his late 30s, followed the 25-year-old woman down Allen Street, between Grand and Hester streets, at approximately 4:30 p.m Tuesday.
The man then punched the victim twice in the face before taking her purse and fleeing eastbound on Allen Street.
The man was described as wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.
