Celebs and Shoppers Hit the Town for Fashion's Night Out

MANHATTAN — Celebrities and shoppers mixed and mingled at stores across the city for the fourth annual Fashion's Night Out on Thursday, an event that kicks of Fashion Week and lures people into stores with oodles of promotions.

Vogue editor Anna Wintour — who launched the event that has now gone international — was spotted at several shops throughout the evening.

She was hobnobbing with Victoria Beckham (aka Posh from the Spice Girls) at Bergdorf Goodman.

She was seen sandwiched between two superstar athletes at the Calvin Klein boutique on Madison Avenue: Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte and Miami Heat basketball player Dwayne Wade. She also posed with New York Knicks player Amar'e Stoudemire at Saks Fifth Avenue.

"Always fun to hangout w/ Anna Wintour," Stoudemire tweeted @Amareisreal with a photo. "We're here @Saks 5th Ave for @FNONYC having a great time."

Saks had celebs in spades, including singers Darren Criss, Lance Bass and Vanessa Carleton.

Kim Kardashian was signing perfume bottles at Lord & Taylor as hordes of adoring fans awaited while Miss America 2012 Laura Kaeppeler, who posed with shoppers at the Express store on Broadway near Prince Street.

"Everyone here wants to have fun and enjoy fashion," Kaeppeler mused.

Designer Tommy Hilfiger celebrated the evening at Macy's with the actress Britt Robertson, known for her roles in "Dan in Real Life" and "Swingtown."

Reality star Bethenny Frankel was also at Macy's while reality show co-host Stacy London of "What Not to Wear" dished out fashion advice to the huge line of people waiting to see her on the first floor of the store of East Midtown's New York & Company.

Even Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who is not exactly known for his fashion sense, made an appearance with Diane von Furstenberg at her boutique in the Meatpacking District, where he smiled for the cameras in a black suit and silver tie.

"Are we happy to live in New York City?" shouted von Furstenberg, dressed in a Fashion's Night Out shirt and sparkly sweater.

Asked if he was excited to be celebrating the occasion, an otherwise tight-lipped Bloomberg said, "I am, I am" with a grin.  But he left less than 10 minutes later.
