THE BRONX — A 23-year-old old man was shot and killed in a Parkchester apartment Friday afternoon, officials said.

The man, who was not immediately identified, was discovered just before 3 p.m. at 1553 Unionport Rd., the NYPD and FDNY said.

He was taken to Soundview Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The shooting occurred in the same building where one man was killed and another was shot in June, during a drug-related robbery.

In the June 22 incident, a 22-year-old man was shot and and stabbed to death during a struggle with a 23-year-old man who was in an apartment known as a drug-dealing location, police said at the time.

The 22-year-old entered the apartment and shot the 23-year-old, who was inside, in the leg. The wounded victim then stabbed the 23-year-old assailant in the chest, grabbed his gun and shot him in the leg, police said.

Both men were taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where the 22-year-old was pronounced dead and the 23-year-old was in stable condition.

It was not immediately clear if the two incidents were related.
