Off-Duty Cop Shoots at Suspected Carjackers in The Bronx

THE BRONX – An off-duty cop shot shot at two would-be carjackers who tried to ride off with his BMW Wednesday in Soundview, police said.

The attempted carjacking happened on Bruckner Boulevard about 8:45 p.m., cops said.

The police officer, whose identity has not been released, was not injured in the shooting.

The two suspects fled and have not been arrested.

Police officials are determining how many shots were fired during the confrontation.
