HUNTS POINT — The body of an unidentified man was pulled from the East River Monday afternoon, police said.

"They were yelling from the pool, everybody was watching," said Victor Krivoshey, 45, a truck driver who was walking through the park.

Krivoshey described the victim as a shirtless male of indeterminate age.

The NYPD's Harbor Unit pulled the body from the water near the Tiffany Street Pier, near the Bronx River, at 2:30 p.m., police said.

A woman who saw police haul the body out of the water said the body appeared to be bloodied and bruised.

It was not immediately clear if foul play was suspected. Police cordoned off a section of the fishing pier in Barretto Point Park, near the intersection of Tiffany Street and Viele Avenue.
