UPS Workers Caught Delivering 30 Pounds of Marijuana, Police Say

Police found five buckets of marijuana inside a package delivered by a UPS truck in Brooklyn.

FLATBUSH — Two UPS workers were caught delivering 30 pounds of marijuana in Brooklyn early Thursday morning, police said.

Police responded to a tip about a UPS truck carrying marijuana in Flatbush about 5:30 a.m. Thursday and followed the truck to a dead end near 102-02 Farragut Rd., the NYPD said.

Police spotted Ruben Jordan, 44, an off-duty UPS driver who lives on Farragut Road, loading a package of marijuana from the truck into a waiting Chrysler minivan, the NYPD said.

Police arrested Jordan and Alexis Herv, 52, of Pennsylvania, who was driving the UPS truck, and charged them both with criminal possession of marijuana and criminal sale of marijuana, police said.

Donovan Hyde, 58, a Brooklyn resident who was driving the minivan, was also arrested and charged with criminal possession of marijuana, police said.

The NYPD recovered 30 pounds of marijuana, packed in five 1-gallon buckets inside a cardboard box, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
