BROOKLYN — The NYPD has released a photo of a man who allegedly groped and exposed himself to a 24-year-old woman in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens Sunday afternoon.

The incident occurred about 3 p.m. as the woman walked on Maple Street, police said.

The victim, who was not named, took a picture of the alleged groper before he fled, police said. The NYPD released the photo early Monday.

Cops described the suspect as being about 16 or 17 years old, standing 5-feet-11-inches tall and weighing about 155 pounds. He has a thin build and was last seen wearing black or gray shorts, a navy-blue T-shirt and black-and-blue sneakers with white-and-blue shoelaces.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS (8477). Members of the public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting tips to CRIMES (274637), then entering TIP577.
