FLUSHING — The Mets unveiled the official logo for next year's All-Star game Tuesday at Citi FIeld — right before losing 4-2 to the Miami Marlins.

The logo features the same baseball with orange stitching and skyline used in the team's primary logo, with the words "All-Star Game" at the center.

“We look forward to our fans, all New Yorkers and baseball fans from across the country enjoying the series of events celebrating baseball’s best leading up to the Midsummer Classic,” said Mets CEO Fred Wilpon, who was joined by Mayor Michael Bloomberg, MLB Comissioner Bud Selig and Mets' players David Wright, R.A. Dickey and Johan Santana, among others.

“Major League Baseball hit a home run when they chose to hold the 2013 All-Star Game in New York City,” said Bloomberg. “Incorporating our city’s iconic skyline into the logo highlights that the game will be played on the world’s biggest stage.”

Citi Field will host the 2013 All-Star game on Tuesday, July 16.

It will be the second time the team hosts baseball's all-star game. The team's old ballpark, Shea Stadium was the site of the 1964 game.
