NEW YORK CITY — Police are looking for a masked man who allegedly robbed 19 stores across Manhattan and Brooklyn, officials said.

The man walked into 19 grocery stores and bodegas throughout the city between Feb. 16 and July 24 and pointed a gun at the teller in each one. Police say he then took cash and cartons of cigarettes before making his getaway, police said.

Police said the man, who wears a bandana over his face, robbed six Manhattan grocers and 13 Brooklyn grocers.

In the July 24 incident, at a 235 Utica Ave. bodega in Crown Heights, police say he was accompanied by a tall, bald man wearing jeans and a multicolored button-down shirt who worked as a lookout.

The man left each of the attendants unharmed. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
