'Gazillion Bubbles' Take Over Union Square

By DNAinfo Staff on July 19, 2012 3:35pm

UNION SQUARE — The excitement was bubbling over in Union Square Thursday.

Kids jumped and squealed with delight as bubbles of all sizes and shapes floated throughout the busy park. The event was hosted by The Gazillion Bubbles Show, a popular performance that's been held at New World Stages since 2007.

The bubble-making demonstration was a part of the Union Square Patnerhship's 2012 Summer in the Square, with events including fitness camps, shows for kids and dance classes orgazined every Thursday from 7 a.m to 6 p.m.

Yvon Lin came to the bubble show with her daughter, Daisy, 4.

"Did you like the big bubbles or the small ones? Or both?" she asked her daughter. "She's always excited about bubbles."
