Cops Hunt Flip-Flop-Wearing Jewelry Thief

THE BRONX — Police are searching for the flip-flop-wearing burglar who casually swiped jewelry from a Longwood shop last month, the NYPD reported.

Surveillance video recorded the suspect on June 30 pushing open the metal roll-down gate of the store at 966 Southern Blvd., then later walking from the scene.

The man wore a backpack as he entered the store, but video shows that he later walked away without it. He was wearing a tank-top, jeans and flip-flops, and police said he appeared to be in his late 20s.
