MEATPACKING — Brooklyn-born rap superstar Jay-Z attended the launch party for Moët & Chandon Champagne's new Rose line in the Meatpacking District Monday, hosted by Queens-born rapper and former hip-hop rival Nas.

“I’m excited to serve as the inaugural host of Moet & Chandon’s Moet Rose Lounge 2012 series,” Nasir “Nas” Jones said in a statement on July 12. “It’s an honor to celebrate the next chapter of my career with the support of a sophisticated brand like Moet.”

The event was followed by a sit-down dinner and a release party for Nas's new album, "Life is Good," according to AllHipHop.com.

The event was co-hosted by Queens native DJ Q-Tip, and DJ Wonder.
