WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — Police have released a video of a suspect who swiped an iPhone from a woman’s pocket as she entered a subway station.
The 37-year-old victim entered the West 157th Street and Broadway station on July 13 about 6:45 a.m. when the man approached her from behind and grabbed her cell phone from her shirt pocket, police said.
The suspect then pushed her to the ground before fleeing the station, police said.
The victim suffered injuries to her wrists and knee, cops said.
The NYPD released a video of the suspect Sunday and are asking for the public's help in tracking him down.
They describe him as being about 20 years old and standing 5-feet-6-inches to 5-feet-8-inches. He was wearing a green shirt, grey jeans and white sneakers, police said.
