City Braces for 'Potentially Dangerous' Heat Forecast for Saturday

MANHATTAN — Already sweltering temperatures are set to soar close to 100 degrees Saturday, prompting a heat advisory.

New Yorkers can expect a strong thunderstorm or two, with a mix of heat and humidity during the day, according to AccuWeather.com.

The advisory will be in place from noon until 6 p.m.

The National Weather Service has called the heat "potentially dangerous" and advises residents to drink plenty of water and schedule strenuous activity for early morning or late evening.
