KEW GARDENS — An Ivy League-educated lawyer suspected of beating and strangling his financial-executive girlfriend in their Astoria apartment has been indicted, the Queens District Attorney's office said Thursday.

Jason Bohn, 33, is accused of killing Danielle Thomas, 27, in their apartment at 28-25 33rd St., just weeks after he was arrested for allegedly barraging her with a series of threatening emails and phone calls including one while she was reporting him at the 114th Precinct stationhouse.

The details of the indictment were not immediately available, according to a spokesman for DA Richard Brown.

On June 26, when Thomas's body was found in a bathtub full of ice, police also found two notes allegedly written by Bohn.

"It was an accident, it was an accident, it was an accident," one note read, according to a statement by the DA's office. "I had been drinking and I was drunk when I got home... She was already asleep," said the note.

"I woke up and there was fighting between us," Bohn allegedly wrote. "When I woke up again she was unconscious... I am sorry," the note said, according to the DA.

According to Bohn's attorney, Todd Greenberg, the two men were eating in a White Plains restaurant on Friday when the suspect was arrested.

Before they were served, police came into the restaurant and arrested Bohn.
