NEW YORK CITY — The heat wave is back.

After three days of weather that was below 85 degrees, temperatures are expected to reach above 90 degrees again on Thursday and stay there through the weekend, according to AccuWeather.

A heavy thunderstorm ushered in the cool weather early this week, providing some relief from record temperatures that had left the city sweating.

But the reprieve was brief.

Temperatures on Friday and Saturday are expected to jump to 94 degrees after a Friday morning thunderstorm, followed by 92 degrees on Sunday and 90 on Monday.
