FINANCIAL DISTRICT — Lightning struck 1 World Trade Center Friday, Port Authority officials wrote on Twitter.

The Port Authority's Twitter account @WTCProgress posted a dramatic photo Monday morning of a bolt of lightning hitting the top of the tower.Officials said the lightning strike happened Friday.

A Port Authority spokesman did not immediately have further details on the incident.
