WILLIAMSBURG — Neighbors say a new popular bar with "boogie funk"is keeping them up at night with its racket.

The racket from the front patio from the Tender Trap, which opened earlier this year on South First Street and Roebling Street, has enraged local residents.

"It's like Bourbon Street," neighbor Sam Kinken said of the bar, which is up for its liquor license renewal. "You can't open your windows anymore."

Kinken, who lives across the street, told Community Board 1 Tuesday that he wants the bar to stop allowing alcohol outside. He and a group of residents plan to attend Wednesday night's 90th Precinct Community Council meeting, where they will further voice their complaints.

The bar has gotten rave reviews by customers for its late-night dance parties.

"The weekends do get packed, as they SHOULD, with hot humans dancing & drinking their asses off," wrote Alyse V. on Yelp. "Chill with neighborhood skater dudes on Tuesdays, lose your pants Fridays, listen to records & have a real conversation on Sundays. There's something here for everyone."

But Kinken said the spot takes its parties too far.

"It's been like this on a regular basis on weekends," Kinken said of the outdoor patio, which he claimed allowed alcohol until 4 a.m. "I have no problem with bars in the neighborhood but this is really unacceptable."
