BRONX — A 65-year-old school-bus driver was beaten during a road rage incident in the Bronx yesterday, after accidentally knocking the mirror off of a double-parked 2010 Chrysler Sebring.

Atlantic Express bus driver Juan Delvalle, described by a co-worker as "a very gentle man," was driving down Anthony Avenue near Echo place at approximately 11:40 a.m. when he clipped a car belonging to Joey Scott, 30, of the Bronx, according to The New York Post.

Scott reportedly heard the bus sideswipe his vehicle on Anthony Avenue near Echo Place and ran out into the street.

"The owner of the car came out and saw what happened [and asked] the bus driver, ‘Are you going to leave after hitting my car?’” a witness told the Post. “The bus driver wanted to call the police, but instead, the owner of the car punched him twice.”

The two students who were riding in the bus at the time of the incident were uninjured, the Post reported.
