Police Search for Missing Queens Man with Alzheimer's

QUEENS — A 79-year-old man with Alzheimer's disease went missing from his Jackson Heights apartment Thursday afternoon, the NYPD reported.

Jose Fuentes, of 88th Street, was last seen at 2:30 p.m. as he was leaving his residence, police said. He is 5'6", 170 pounds, and has brown eyes and brown hair. He was wearing a purple striped button-down shirt, gray pants and black shoes.

Anyone with information about the Fuentes is asked to call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS (8477). Members of the public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting tips to CRIMES (274637), then entering TIP577.
