JAMAICA — Get ready to kick up your heels.

Salsa fans can celebrate the end of the week and the beautiful spring weather with a outdoor salsa party in Rufus King Park.

The annual outdoor event, “Dancing Under The Stars,” which kicks off at 7 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m., is organized by City Council Deputy Majority Leader Leroy Comrie and the New York City Parks Department is an effort to provide the community with a fun night out.

“It is my hope that this event will provide the community with an opportunity to experience and learn about salsa, as well as give local families a cost-free night out in one of our community’s great parks," the councilman said in a statement.

It's no sweat if you don't know how to dance.

There will be salsa instructors at the event to teach you the basic dance moves and help you swing to the music of legends like Johnny Pacheco, Willi Colon and Tito Puente, according to the invite by the Councilman.

There will not just be dancing at the event, but families can also enjoy raffle drawings and great music at the park.
