NEW YORK — Two multi-vehicle crashes on the southbound side of the Major Deegan Expressway snarled traffic during the morning rush hour Wednesday, the FDNY and Department of Transportation said.

A three-car collision at about 8 a.m. at West 155th Street in Highbridge closed two lanes and left three people with minor injuries, the DOT and FDNY said. Emergency workers were still on-scene at 8:30 a.m., but none of the injured parties had been taken to a hospital.

A two-car crash at the Depot Place exit in Morris Heights, reported just 15 minutes after the first collision, closed one lane on the Major Deegan Expressway, the DOT said. No injuries were reported.
