Man Fatally Shot in East New York

EAST NEW YORK —A 24-year-old man in Brooklyn died from gunshot wounds early Saturday morning, police said.

Rescuers responded to an emergency call at 4 a.m. and found a man suffering from multiple gunshot sounds in his back at 920 Vermont Ave., in Brooklyn.

The man was transported to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The man has not yet been identified by family members, police said.

The NYPD says an investigation is ongoing.
