BRONX — The city will host a public hearing Wednesday to discuss bringing Select Bus Service to Webster Avenue in The Bronx.

The buses, which allow riders to pay their fares before boarding, make express stops. They would travel on the Bx41 line that runs from East 149th Street in the South Bronx to East Gun Hill Road in Williamsbridge.

Select Bus Service already operates in The Bronx on the Bx12 line.

Area residents are invited to attend the meeting on May 16 at the Icahn Charter Middle School cafeteria, 1506 Brook Ave., from 6 to 8 p.m. Representatives from the Department of Transportation and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority will be on hand to discuss the proposal and improvements to the Bx41 bus line.
