NEW YORK CITY - A Bronx man was stabbed in the chest and face on a Bronx subway platform by a man he accused of stealing an iPhone Saturday morning, police and sources said.

The 19-year-old stabbing victim and a friend had fallen asleep on a southbound 4 Train before 4 a.m.

He woke at the Fordham Road station to find his firend had had his pockets slashed and his iPhone removed.  He confronted another man on the train, accusing him of the theft and the pair began to brawl, sources said.

They rolled out on to the platform when the train stopped at the Fordham Road station  -- where the accuser was stabbed several times in the head and chest, sources said.

The injured man was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
