QUEENS — An NYPD detective has been arrested for allegedly hitting an elderly woman on a Hollis street last week and fleeing the scene, authorities said.

Michael Fantroy, 42, was taken into custody Tuesday at about 7 a.m. for allegedly striking the 82-year-old victim with his personal vehicle at 199th Street and Hollis Avenue on April 15, police said.

Fantroy, who was off-duty at the time, bolted after the accident, cops said.

The woman, whom police did not name, was taken to Jamaica Hospital, police said. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Cops from the NYPD's Internal Affairs Bureau investigated the alleged hit-and-run, though it was unclear they tracked Fantroy down, police said.

Police did not say for which precinct or division Fantroy worked or how many years he has been on the force.

He was awaiting arraignment Tuesday at Queens Criminal Court.
