TRIBECA — If the Vanity Fair-hosted launch party for the TriBeCa Film Festival is any indication, it's going to be all business, all the time.
Host Graydon Carter and wife, Anna, arrived at the decked-out 60 Centre St. venue promptly at 6:50 p.m., 10 minutes before the party started, and most guests dutifully followed suit. Designer Diane von Furstenberg was in and out in less than 30 minutes, eating a handful of hors d'ouevres as she walked down the stairs. Mayor Michael Bloomberg was inside for even less time.
There were, however, many who came ready to party including Leelee Sobieski, in white Jil Sander. She pointed out that she is fond of the courthouse neighborhood. "I got married in a courthouse, I believe right there," she said, pointing across the street to 141 Worth St.
Cindy Adams arrived with Judge Judy Sheindlin; Catherine Zeta-Jones, in Michael Kors, with Michael Douglas; Ivanka Trump, in Carolina Herrera, with Jared Kushner; and Jessica White wore an Angelina Jolie-rivaling high slit on her gown.
Dakota Fanning wore a pink Lanvin, Helena Christensen wore white Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan wore a knee brace because she's recovering from a broken leg and Katie Couric looked svelte in a low-back black jumpsuit by Tucker that was not without issues. "I think my underpinnings are slipping," she said to the bank of photographers, "so I have to go."
Calvin Klein designer Francisco Costa admired the architecture. "It's a beautiful building," adding that he didn't notice it on a previous occasion when he had shown up for jury duty (and wasn't chosen). Also attending were Desiree Gruber and Kyle McLaughlin, Julia Louis Dreyfus, Harvey Keitel, Woody and Suzanne Johnson, Tory Burch, Norma Kamali and CBS This Morning co-hosts Charlie "I should be home in bed" Rose and Gayle King, who was wearing a dress from Cachet. "I'm going to do a loop and be out in less than an hour," she claimed. Lady, take a lesson from DvF and Hizzoner.
And back to business, this time side businesses: one guest offered to help Vanity Fair boss Graydon Carter with his restaurant. "Graydon has not come to me for restaurant advice, and I wish he had," said restarauteur and Tribeca Film Festival juror Drew Nieporent. "I think he has very good restaurants but I could always give him insight into something he doesn't know about."

Wanted: A boyfriend for one of the newest Victoria's Secret Angels. Toni Garrn said her travel schedule just doesn't make relationships easy. At a launch luncheon for the Love is Heavenly fragrance, Garrn, who was jetting off to Bora Bora Wednesday, admitted that long distance relationships don't work. "I tried that with someone from back in Germany," she said. We think he should have worked harder.
