MANHATTAN — A motorcyclist was killed when he slammed into the back of a cab in the Lincoln Tunnel early Sunday morning, officials said.

The 31-year-old motorist smashed into the back of the taxi in the south tube near the Manhattan exit at 3:50 a.m., according to a spokesman for the Port Authority.

He was rushed to St. Luke's Hospital where he was pronounced dead about 45 minutes later.

It was not immediately clear if there was criminality.
