Broadway Bridge Construction to Shut Down Lanes Overnight

INWOOD — The Broadway Bridge is getting a bit of a facelift.

Starting next week, the Department of Transportation will be shutting down portions of the span overnight until May 31 to replace its deteriorating deck.

Officials said that one lane of traffic will be closed from 9 p.m.–6 a.m. Monday–Friday and 10 a.m.–2 p.m. on Saturday.

Between the hours of 11 p.m.–5 a.m., Monday–Friday and 11 p.m.–9 a.m. on Saturdays, two lanes of southbound traffic will be closed, though one lane will remain open at all times.
