BROOKLYN — A teen was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend's young son — who later died — at a Cypress Hills home last Saturday, police said.
Tyree Wright, 19, was also charged with acting in a manner injurious to a child in the case of the alleged abuse.
Rescuers responded to the home on Shepherd and Arlington avenues just after 4:30 a.m. and found Jacqil Degraffenreid, 23 months, unconscious and unresponsive, police said.
They rushed the boy to Kings County Hospital, where he died. His injuries were not immediately clear.
Sources said that Wright was on probation for robbery until 2014.
