BROOKLYN — A woman was killed and a man was in critical condition after a tragic car crash in East New York Saturday morning, authorities said.

The two-car collision occurred at the corner of Louisiana and Flatlands avenues shortly after 10 a.m., leaving a 66-year-old woman dead and a 63-year-old man in critical condition at Brookdale Hospital, police said.

The occupants of the other car involved, a 38-year-old man and an 8-year-old boy, were in stable condition at Kings County Hospital after the wreck, police said.

The deadly crash happened as one of the vehicles, a 1993 Buick, was turning south on Louisiana Avenue coming westbound on Flatlands Avenue, police said. As the car turned, a 2008 Infinity traveling eastbound on Flatlands Avenue struck the Buick's passenger side, killing the woman, police said.

There is no criminality suspected and an investigation is ongoing, police added.
