Knicks Phenom Jeremy Lin Goes Apartment Hunting

By Julie Shapiro | February 10, 2012 12:06pm

MANHATTAN — Knicks star Jeremy Lin is looking for a new home after spending the past six weeks crashing on his brother's couch on the Lower East Side.

The surprising point guard, who wowed fans by leading the Knicks to three straight victories in his first week as an NBA starter, has decided it's time to spread his wings and get his own place, the New York Post reported.

So far, Lin has looked at two potential pads, one in New York City and another in Westchester County, the Post reported. The city apartment belongs to one of Lin's Knicks teammates, the Post reported.

Lin, a Harvard economics graduate, is reportedly considering either buying or renting.

He has been staying with his brother, Josh Lin, a dental student at New York University. He has also slept on teammate Landry Fields' couch, according to his Facebook page.

Lin, the first American of Chinese or Taiwanese descent to play in the NBA, exploded onto the national scene this week, leading the Knicks in scoring 25 points against New Jersey, 28 points against Utah and 23 points against Washington.

In response to the 6-foot-3-inch point guard's meteoric success, the Knicks started selling replicas of Lin's jersey online, charging more for it than the ones with Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire's names.
