Jeremy Lin Knicks Jerseys Let Fans Own a Piece of 'Lin-Sanity'

MANHATTAN - Knicks fans can now own a piece of Lin-Sanity.

Jeremy Lin, New York's surprising point guard who has gone from benchwarmer to the toast of the town, now has replica jerseys for fans to purchase on the Knicks' website.

The jerseys, which go for $54.95, and Lin T-shirts, $19.95, were listed higher than those of Knicks superstars Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire.

Lin is in his first week as a NBA starter, and has led the Knicks (11-15) to three straight victories while outplaying some of the best guards in the league. On Wednesday night, he crossed-over Washington Wizards star John Wall on his way to a thunderous dunk.

Lin, the first American of Taiwanese or Chinese descent to play in the NBA, spent much of this season on the Knicks' developmental league team or otherwise riding the team's bench. But after a recent injury to Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudamire taking a leave of absence after his brother's death, Lin, a lanky 6-foot-3-inch point guard who played college ball at Harvard, got a chance to showcase his skills.

Since getting the starting nod, Lin scored 25 points against New Jersey, 28 points versus Utah, and poured in 23 points and a career-high 10 assists in Wednesday's victory against Washington — a game in which he showcased his leaping prowess and athleticism on a thunderous dunk.

"It was shocking but I’ve seen him do it in practice, and warm-ups," fellow guard Landry Fields told the New York Post. "The man’s doing it all right now. He’s a shoo-in for all-stars. Get him in there. Late addition."

Lin has provided a critical boost to a slumping team that will face the Lakers on Friday at Madison Square Garden.

"The energy in this room and camaraderie we have unifies this team," said Knicks forward Jared Jeffries. "[Lin] can take credit for that.”
