BROOKLYN — A man was shot in the head and killed in East Flatbush Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

The victim, 39, was discovered with a gunshot wound to the head while sitting in a gray Dodge Caravan at 281 E. 46th St., near Lenox Road, about 2 p.m., the NYPD said.

He was transported to Kings County Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival, police added.

Two people who approached the victim just before the shooting are being eyed in the incident.

A witness said he heard the gunfire erupt and saw the incident unfold.

“I was walking, and I saw guys in a car and heard ‘Boom.’ It was a big caliber," said Alberto, who was heading to a nearby church at the time and declined to give his last name.

The witness added that the gunshot startled others in the area.

"I thought it was an explosion. It was a blast," Alberto said. "A lady started screaming, ‘What happened, what happened?’”
