A pedestrian was struck by a minivan that jumped a curb in East Harlem late Fri., Feb. 3, 2012, authorities said. (DNAinfo/David Torres)

 MANHATTAN — A pedestrian was struck by a minivan that jumped a curb in East Harlem late Friday night, authorities said.

The person was hit near the corner of East 116th Street and Fifth Avenue about 10:21 p.m., the FDNY said.

The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital with unspecified injuries, fire officials said.

The minivan, which ran onto the curb and plowed into a fire hydrant, remained at the scene following the incident.

It was not clear whether there was any criminality involved, officials added.
