CANARSIE — A man was allegedly stabbed to death by his sister's knife-wielding ex-boyfriend in Brooklyn, police said early Friday.

Ifill Steven, 59,  was found in his basement at 587 East 88th Street in Canarsie late Thursday with several stab wounds to his body, cops said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His unidentified sister had called police after not hearing from him in a few days. She went to his home and found her ex-boyfriend with a weapon, police said.

"She sees him with a knife," a source said.

Police rushed to the scene and found Steven.

The boyfriend, who was not identified, was taken into custody. He had not been arrested or charged as of early Friday.

It was unclear if a weapon was recovered, police said.

The sister, who police said had broken up with the suspect about a month ago, did not appear to be injured, police said.
