UPPER EAST SIDE — The New York State Department of Health is investigating Lenox Hill Hospital over the treatment of patients during Beyonce's stay there, WABC reported Wednesday.

After the singer gave birth to Blue Ivy Carter with husband Jay-Z on Saturday, other patients started to complain about their stay at the hospital on East 77th Street, including not being able to see their own newborns.

The hospital reportedly confirmed they received at least two complaints and said it is cooperating with the investigation.

The "Single Lady" singer's entourage also allegedly used tape to cover security cameras and restricted at least one family's access to the neonatal intensive care unit while the singer stayed in the hospital through early Tuesday morning.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg defended Beyonce's VIP treatment during a Tuesday press conference.

“I don’t think you should keep people from seeing their babies, or whatever, but have different services for people who are full-paying patients," Bloomberg said. “It’s easy to go and criticize, but somebody’s got to pay.”
