MANHATTAN — An elderly woman was critically injured in a stabbing in an East Harlem building Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

The 66-year-old victim was stabbed multiple times in the chest on Park Avenue and East 103rd Street just before 2 p.m., according to the FDNY.

Witnesses said that the victim sat down on the building's stoop after the bloodshed unfolded.

“She was stabbed in the chest, head, face and stomach," said witness Bryant, who would not give his last name.

“She was drenched from head to waist in blood. It looked like something out of a horror movie.”

Bryant said that he called 911, as did other witnesses as the woman said said that she thought she was dying.

She was rushed to St. Luke's Hospital, the fire department said.

Cops said that a person was under arrest and charges were pending.  Sources said that the suspect knew the victim.
