Times Square Subway Station Closings for New Year's Eve

MANHATTAN — A number of subway stations near the Times Square are will close temporarily Saturday night for the New Year's Eve festivities.

From 10 p.m. to midnight, straphangers will have to exit the Times Square station on the 1, 2, 3, 7, N, Q, R, and Shuttle lines, at Eighth Avenue.

From 7 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. northbound 1 trains will be skipping the 50th Street stop.  Customers are advised to use 34th Street-Penn Station or 59th Street instead to reach Times Square.

And N and R trains are skipping the 49th Street station in both directions from 7 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. Straphangers are advised to take get off at 34th Street-Herald Square or 57th Street-7th Avenue instead to reach Times Square.
