Polarn O. Pyret, a Swedish children's clothing store, is now open at 200 Chambers St. The Scandinavian company, known for its comfy striped T-shirts and eco-friendly philosophy, also recently opened a shop at 428 Columbus Ave. on the Upper West Side.
A new cross-training studio called CrossFit 212 recently opened at 84 Franklin St., Tribeca Citizen reported. The studio trains groups and individuals using a combination of weightlifting, running and gymnastics, and its website vows to get anyone in shape, from the young to the elderly.

Aroma Espresso Bar is opening its fourth Manhattan location at 100 Church St. in mid-January, the company tweeted recently. The Israeli chain specializes in coffee but also serves sandwiches, soups, salads and pastries.
Kaffe 1668, the fair-trade coffee shop in TriBeCa, is opening a second location next year at 401 Greenwich St. The new 1,350-square-foot space will have room for about 45 people and will have a low-key vibe similar to Kaffe 1668's original spot at 275 Greenwich St.
The Milk Street Cafe at 40 Wall St. closed for good Dec. 15 after struggling for months with the barricades the NYPD put up during the Occupy Wall Street protests. The 23,000-square-foot kosher international food hall was losing thousands of dollars a day, even after cutting back its hours and laying off 21 workers, so owner Marc Epstein said he had no choice but to close it.
The Bolton's clothing store at 95 Wall St. is shutting its doors soon and is offering steep discounts in the meantime. The retail chain — whose tagline is "If you've seen it before, you've seen it for more!" — has another Downtown location at 52 Duane St. near Lafayette Street.
Pick-A-Bagel temporarily shut down at 102 N. End Ave. earlier this month to make way for construction on the new Conrad New York luxury hotel. The locally owned bagel shop, popular with Battery Park City workers and residents, will reopen by mid-January, the Broadsheet Daily reported.
The Essences Hair Salon at 80 Nassau St. has closed, the Downtown Alliance business improvement district reported.
