Fire Breaks out In Basement of Venezuelan Mission to UN

MANHATTAN — A fire broke out at the Venezuelan Mission to the United Nations in Midtown Saturday afternoon, officials said.

The blaze erupted in the basement of 335 E. 46th St., near First Avenue, just before 2:30 p.m., according to the FDNY.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.

The mission did not immediately respond to an email request for comment.
