West 42nd Street Partially Closed for Suspicious Package

MANHATTAN — Emergency workers shut down part of West 42nd Street Sunday night to investigate a report of a suspicious package, officials said.

The street was closed between Seventh and Eighth avenues at 9 p.m. to investigate the report, according to the FDNY.

Police said the bomb squad was on scene.

Traffic delays were expected in the area, according to the city's Office of Emergency Management.
