Man Caught Between Train and Platform in Union Square

MANHATTAN — A man was rescued Wednesday after being caught between a subway train and  platform in Union Square, authorities said.

The accident unfolded at 4:20 p.m., near 14th Street, according to the FDNY.

The man was removed and taken to Bellevue Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, fire officials said.

The exact nature of his injuries was not immediately known.

There were delays on the R line at 14th Street, but it was not immediately clear if they were connected to this incident.
